About Planning For Construction (PFC)
Hi my name is Pete Agoma. I have over 18 years of experience in construction planning and project controls and a degree in Civil Engineering and Public.
Planning for Construction was created to provide useful information to schedulers, planning engineers and project control practitioners.
The information presented on this website is aimed at helping schedulers, planners, project control practitioners and project managers to gain a better understanding on how to develop construction program for successful project completion.
My approach is to give you an insight into my own experience with project planning and project controls systems, techniques and more.... that I have been involved with or are currently working on. I will always ensure that any specific details about a project remain confidential.
I prefer to use Primavera as the primary programming software, however I also use Asta Powerproject and occasionally use Microsoft Project. I personally use Microsoft Project when I need to send a scope of work to other parties for a quick validation.
On this site, I will be discussion Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Earned Value Management (EVM) and provide my expertise and knowledge for live project management.
"We live by example" is the motto for this site - every item discussed will be backed up with actual examples of fragnet programs/schedules.
As a project control professional, I hope that I can collaborate with you and share ideas, the ups and down experienced on your old or current projects.
I look forward to hearing about your own experience in project planning and project management.
Feel free to contact me and exchange any 'tricks of the trade' that could be beneficial to successful project control.
